Crumpled Notebook

Wow. Day nine already. Okay, today was pretty cool, although
it added more questions for me. Let me start with yesterday first.
I was cleaning my room yesterday (yes, that’s crazy enough in
itself).

I found a little card I got somewhere at some
point about a conference with The Salvation Army coming up in
October. Don’t remember getting it, nor knew nothing about it, but
the name caught my attention. Aggressive Christianity, which is the

book I read not too long ago that was very good. Anyway, it
caught my attention and I wanted to know more about it, so I made a
point to bring it to work with me today and look it up and find out
more about it. Fast forward to this morning, when I went to the
main office to check my mail. Cindy had left a SA publication in my
box, with a note on the back telling me I may be interested in
this. It was the application for and information for the Aggressive
Christianity conference. I think it was just a small reminder for
me that God isn’t done working on me. That He still does have a
bigger plan for me, and he’s making sure I don’t miss it. I don’t
believe in coincidences. When I did my “surprise me, God” prayer
this morning, I actually prayed a little more. I prayed to keep me
surprise and filled with this spirit. I held back from calling it
“excitement” because excitement is fleeding. I was this to be a
feeling for a lifetime. A feeling of always wanting more and being
surprised daily. So yeah, I don’t know if that’s a “surprise” or
not, the conference thing, but it was a pretty clear sign.
