I love my iPhone. I got it right before Christmas.
I haven’t jail broke it so I only have the web apps. If you do you can install apps to the phone.
One of the updates bricked the phones that had that so I’m hesitant to do it.
The only issues I see are as follows:
If you use voice recognition option. The iPhone does not have this.
It is a software based phone so I think it is theoretical it might have this eventually but I’ve seen no plans to add it.
Some people have problems losing their contacts when syncing
I don’t use my regular email with my phone I use a gmail account so I don’t use that feature.
Even if I did my contacts are not critical. I can always go back and get them from my computer.
The last thing is coverage area. Where you live that shouldn’t be a problem.
Oak Ridge and Knoxville are both in their E3 area which has faster downloads than just general coverage.
Wifi access should also be good where you are.
I have a wireless router in my apartment and downloads from things like youtube are much faster.
